The west Fife area includes some of Fife’s highest hills. Knock Hill and Saline Hill are the 3rd and 4th highest hills in Fife. The nearby Cleish Hills are also over 300m in height making them some of the highest ground in Fife, outside of the Lomond Hills. As well as the hills, there are also some lovely woodlands in the area for the walker to explore.

Hills: Knock Hill (364m), Saline Hill (359m), Easter Cairn (355m)
These hills are prominent landmarks in West Fife and Eastern Clackmannanshire and as such provide extensive views of the lower lying countryside. As the 3rd, 4th and 6th highest hills in Fife, Knock Hill, Saline Hill and Easter Cairn (a hillfort site) make up some of the highest ground within the Kingdom.
Hills: Lathalmond Hill (245m), Craigluscar (228m), East Hill (209m), Bandrum (225m)
These small hills on the outskirts of Dunfermline provide fantastic views of the surrounding area and across the Forth. Craigluscar is a small compact hill, the site of a hillfort, that makes an ideal short walk.
Fife Hills: Wether Hill (335m), Outh Hill (324m), Cult Hill (264m)
Perth and Kinross Hills: Scaur Hill
The western Cleish hill are much less visited than their better known neighbours to the east. However, being over 300m they form some of the highest ground in Fife. Wether Hill and Outh Hill are the eighth and ninth highest hills in Fife, respectively. Cult Hill on the opposite side of the road holds fourteenth place in the height league.

The Cleish Hills straddle the boundary between Perth & Kinross and Fife. Made up of tussocky grass moorland they have a real hill feel to them despite not being particularly high.
